Vinci Hair Clinic’s Edinburgh consultation centre is part of our international network of specialist hair restoration clinics. It is the place to start a conversation about your hair loss with a specialist who can map out the options — medical, surgical, or non-surgical — and refer you to the right Vinci centre for any treatment you go on to have.
The team behind the results — Every treatment plan across the Vinci network is reviewed by our medical team. You will meet your specialist before any treatment is booked, not on the day.
Honest assessments — If you are not a good candidate for surgery, we will tell you. Our specialists recommend the treatment that is right for your hair loss pattern, even if that means a non-surgical option — or no treatment at all.
Aftercare that lasts — Your relationship with us does not end when you leave the clinic. We schedule follow-up reviews at key milestones and our team is available by phone or WhatsApp throughout your recovery.
Our Edinburgh centre is a consultation office. We use it to meet new patients in person, talk through their hair loss, and recommend the right course of action — whether that is a medical treatment, a hair transplant, or simply monitoring the situation.
Every consultation is free of charge and includes:
Digital Proscope analysis — a high-magnification scan of your scalp that shows follicle density, miniaturisation, and the overall health of the donor area
Hair loss pattern assessment — we map your current loss against the Norwood (men) or Ludwig (women) scales and project the likely trajectory over the next 5 to 10 years
Treatment recommendations — a written summary of which options will work for your case, ranked by what we would recommend
Pricing transparency — if a procedure or treatment is advised, you will receive an indicative price during the consultation and a fixed written quote afterwards
Where treatments take place — surgical procedures are carried out at our nearest surgical centre (Manchester (1h 10m by direct flight) or London (1h 25m direct)). Medical treatments such as PRP, MSP, and Mesotherapy are delivered at our nearest treatment clinic. We will arrange the booking and explain travel logistics during your consultation.
If you cannot make it to Edinburgh in person, we also offer video consultations using the same Digital Proscope analysis (we send a link and a guided process for capturing the images).

Hair transplant pricing — If surgery is the right option for you, the procedure will be carried out at Manchester (1h 10m by direct flight) or London (1h 25m direct). Surgery starts from £3,500 and is priced by the size of the procedure (Small, Medium, Large, or Max), not by graft count. We do not price graft-by-graft because the exact number is only confirmed once extraction begins. You will receive a fixed written quote after your consultation.
Non-surgical treatment pricing — PRP, MSP, and Mesotherapy are delivered at our nearest treatment clinic and priced per session. Your consultant will quote in writing after your appointment.
Spreading the cost: monthly payment plans are available through our financing partner for surgical procedures.

Manchester is one hour ten minutes by direct flight and London one hour twenty five. Your Edinburgh specialist stays with your case through planning and follow up.

In most cases, no. The NHS rarely funds treatment for standard pattern hair loss, as it is not classed as a medical necessity. Where hair loss results directly from an accident and private liability insurance is in place, costs are potentially covered, and your specialist can advise.
Most patients take a few days at home after surgery before returning to desk-based work. Because your procedure takes place in Manchester or London, your Edinburgh specialist will plan travel and recovery timings with you as part of your treatment plan, including when it is safe to travel back.
