Brazilian mixed martial arts fighter, Paulo ‘Borrachinha’ Costa, has become the latest high-profile sporting figure to receive a hair transplant.
In November 2020, UFC world heavyweight and PRIDE middleweight GP champion Maurício Milani Rua followed in the footsteps of his older brother and fellow fighter, Murilo Ninja Rua, when he chose Vinci Hair Clinic for his Follicular Extraction Unit (FUE) hair transplant surgery. The UFC middleweight title challenger seemed happy with his new look and the whole hair transplant process when he spoke on camera to ESPN’s Brett Okamoto.
Costa chose to have FUE hair transplant surgery to improve the appearance of his receding hairline. With FUE surgery, genetically strong hair from donor areas at the sides and back of the head is moved to the areas where hair has been lost. Two months after his surgery, he is happy with the results of the procedure. As he told Okamoto, however, he expects that his new hair will get even better as the months go by. “I hope when I fight Marvin Vettori, my hair will be, you know, beautiful!”
